The Development of Smile and Smart Center, a Student Caring System, to Support Smart, Good, and Happy Students
On 7 July 2021, the School of Medicine has arranged the activity on the topic “The Development of Smile and Smart Center, a Student Caring System, to Support Smart, Good, and Happy Students” which is a part of the “Home Room” subject for first-year medical students of the academic year 2021. This activity was held online via Zoom meeting. There are three speakers, including Pavarut Poungsri, MD., Doungsamorn Wonglim, and Chatchapol Yingdumnun. The atmosphere in the event was warm, cozy, fun, and comfortable in which the students could participate directly with speakers. This activity aims to educate the students of Walailak University in having gratefulness, virtue, morality, discipline, volunteer spirit, and leadership which motivates the students to live a happy life. The speakers introduced the “Smile & Smart Center” which provides counseling services, psychological tests, and activities to promote students’ potential and social skills. The “Tutor center” was also presented, which is established to empower students to be successful in learning and guide them to self-study improvement.
