The Doctor of Medicine Program at Walailak University integrates modern and alternative medicine to promote a holistic approach to patient care among medical students.
On May 27–28, 2025, the program conducted an experiential learning activity for second-year medical students, as part of the Pharmacology course. The activity took place at the Applied Thai Traditional Medicine Hospital, Walailak University. This hands-on experience provided students with the opportunity to explore diagnostic and therapeutic practices rooted in Thai traditional medicine, including the use of herbal remedies, Thai massage, herbal compress therapy, and health promotion based on the concept of the four body elements. This enhances medical students’ understanding and empowers them to integrate knowledge from both disciplines to deliver effective, holistic patient care.
