On June 28, 2025, the Department of Science Program in Sport Science and Exercise, part of the School of Medicine at Walailak University, held its Sports Science Gown Ceremony for third-year students (Academic Year 2025). The event, celebrating the fourth-generation students, took place at the Phattharammaporn Meeting Room, Walailak University Medical Center Hospital.
Ajarn Arisa Sespeng led the project, with Associate Professor Dr. Chuchard Punsawad, Dean of the School of Medicine, officially opening the ceremony. Faculty members from the program, lecturers from the School of Medicine, and students from all years of the Sports and Exercise Science program were in attendance. Parents of the third-year students also joined to congratulate their children, making for a joyful and celebratory atmosphere.
The ceremony’s main objective is to provide students with their professional gowns, which they will wear during their co-operative education placements in their fourth year. It also aims to instill in them an understanding of their responsibility to perform their best: to learn and work with dedication and determination. Furthermore, the event serves as a source of morale and encouragement, fostering a sense of love, unity, and pride in the Sports and Exercise Science profession throughout their studies at Walailak University’s School of Medicine, and continuing into their future careers.
