July 14th, 2025

In April 2025, 6th-year medical students from the School of Medicine, Walailak University, participated in a clinical elective at Toho University, Japan—one of the university’s international academic partners. The program aimed to enhance students’ clinical skills, expose them to diverse healthcare systems, and promote cross-cultural collaboration.

During the elective, students engaged in both theoretical and practical learning, observed clinical practices across departments, and exchanged experiences with Japanese medical students. This valuable experience broadened their global perspective, strengthened their teamwork and communication skills, and prepared them for future roles in international healthcare settings.
