On August 8, 2025, Kamonrada Khaoplot, a new graduate from the Bachelor of Science Program in Sport Science and Exercise at the School of Medicine, Walailak University, brought immense pride to the institution. She achieved second place in the Time Trial event and third place in the overall annual points standings for 2025 at the 5th and final stage of the “King’s Bhumibol” Royal Trophy Thailand Road Cycling Championships in the women’s general category, held at Bhumibol Dam, Tak Province.

The event, organized by the Thai Cycling Association in collaboration with various public and private sectors, featured a grand opening ceremony on August 10 at Sirichol Pavilion inside Bhumibol Dam. Mr. Chuchiep Pongchai, Governor of Tak Province, presided over the ceremony, along with General Decha Hemkrasri, President of the Thai Cycling Association, and other distinguished guests. The ceremony also marked the auspicious occasion of the birthday anniversary on August 12, 2025, to offer blessings to His Majesty the King and Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the King’s Mother.
This remarkable achievement by Kamonrada not only highlights the dedication and potential of Walailak University students in both academics and sports but also serves as an excellent example, bringing honor to the university and the nation.
