A faculty member from the School of Medicine, Division of Medical Sciences, traveled to Universiti Sains Malaysia to establish international research collaboration
Dr. Atthaphon Konyanee, Lecturer in the School of Medicine, Division of Medical Sciences, Walailak University, visited Universiti Sains Malaysia from 7 to 12 September 2025 under the “International Mobility Fund for Research Collaboration” program. The visit focused on advancing research in Drug Discovery from Natural Products using Computer-Aided Drug Design (CADD) techniques in collaboration with a team of specialists led by Professor Dr. Habibah A. Wahab, Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Research and Innovation, and Dr. Ezatul Ezleen Kamarulzaman of the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences. The discussions resulted in plans for joint publications and the development of novel antimalarial drug candidates, as well as laying the groundwork for future student and faculty exchanges between the two institutions.
