From 15–19 November 2025, Dr. PhakkawatThangwong, a faculty member of the Medical Science Department, School of Medicine, participated in the Society for Neuroscience (SfN) Annual Meeting 2025, held in San Diego, California, USA. This conference is one of the most significant international academic platforms in the field of neuroscience, bringing together educators, researchers, and experts from around the world to disseminate research findings, exchange knowledge, and present advances in global neuroscience.
At the meeting, Dr. Phakkawat Thangwongattended as a Poster Presenting Author and presented his research titled “Protective effects of apocynin on vascular dysfunction and remodeling in a rat model of vascular dementia.” This study investigates the role of apocynin, an NADPH oxidase inhibitor, in ameliorating vascular abnormalities and structural remodeling in an animal model of vascular dementia.
Participation in this conference provided an important opportunity to enhance knowledge and exchange experiences in medical science and related research fields. It also fostered extensive academic collaboration with international researchers. The insights and experiences gained will be integrated into future research and teaching development within the School of Medicine, strengthening the capacity of its personnel and students to meet global standards.
