Walailak University Medical Student Selected as Thai Youth Representative for “Youth Side Program 2026” in Germany

The School of Medicine, Walailak University, proudly congratulates Ms. Lalitpat Thongwon, a second-year medical student, on being selected by the German Medical Students’ Association to participate in the Youth Side Program 2026, held alongside the World Health Summit 2026. The program will take place from 9 – 13 October 2026 in Berlin, Germany. 

 

Youth Side Program 2026 is an international leadership development program that brings together young advocates from diverse countries and backgrounds to strengthen their knowledge, leadership, and engagement in the field of global health. The program features capacity-building activities, including training in Global Health Advocacy, communication and policy advocacy skills, youth engagement, and participation in the World Health Summit 2026, where participants will engage with leading experts, researchers, policymakers, and representatives from international health organizations. 

 

Ms. Lalitpat ‘s selection reflects his outstanding potential and provides a valuable opportunity to further develop his academic and leadership competencies while building international networks in global health. As a Thai youth representative, he will have the opportunity to exchange knowledge and experiences with young leaders from around the world, contributing to international collaboration and advancing global health initiatives.
