On March 31, 2025, Miss Kamonrada Khaoplot, a student in the Bachelor of Science program, majoring in Sports and Exercise Science within the Faculty of Medicine at Walailak University, representing the Thai national cycling team under the Cycling Association of Thailand, secured the ASEAN overall team time trial championship (Thailand Women’s Cycling Team) and achieved 3rd place overall in the international cycling race held in honor of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, “The Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn’s Cup Women’s Tour of Thailand.” The competition took place from March 24th to April 2nd, 2025.
In this event, the Thai national team achieved remarkable results, winning Stage 1 of the Tour of Thailand 2025 in the women’s team category, the overall time leader award, the overall sprint leader award, and the Best ASEAN Rider award. The total distance of the 9 stages was 1,070.82 kilometers, with 19 teams from 29 nations participating in the competition held in Aranyaprathet District, Sa Kaeo Province.
