On September 18th, 2025, Walailak University’s Academic Service Center organized the annual WU SDG Day 2025. Held at the Medical Center Hospital, this event provided a platform for presenting and exchanging knowledge on academic service projects aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Among the 20 featured oral presentations was the “Project for the Advancement of Community Health in the Senior Citizen Club of Tha Sala Subdistrict Municipality, Year 2,” from the School of Medicine. This project, led by lecturers Bulin Jirapongsatorn, Naparat Doungchan, and Arisa Sespheng from the Sports Science and Exercise program, expanded its focus to include chronic and bedridden patients, as well as migrant workers in Sichon Subdistrict, Nakhon Si Thammarat.


Other notable poster presentations included:
- “Project for Vision Screening and Strabismus Diagnosis to Facilitate Resource Support from National Health Security Benefits” by Assistant Professor Dr. Lanla Udomwech and Associate Professor Dr. Eumporn Muangmuad from the School of Medicine.
- “Project for Developing Herbal Products and Enhancing Community Well-being with Applied Thai Traditional Medicine” by Assistant Professor Piriya Chanasut and Assistant Professor Pratthakorn Sangkaew from the Applied Thai Traditional Medicine program.
The WU SDG Day 2025 reaffirms Walailak University’s commitment to applying academic knowledge to societal development and making a tangible contribution to the SDGs.
