On 25 June 2026, the Applied Thai Traditional Medicine Program, School of Medicine, Walailak University, organized the Thai Traditional Medicine Teachers’ Day Ceremony at the Applied Thai Traditional Medicine Hospital, Walailak University. The ceremony was presided over by Associate Professor Dr. Chuchard Punsawad, Dean of the School of Medicine, together with members of the executive board, the Head of the Applied Thai Traditional Medicine Program, faculty members, staff, students from Years 1–4, and alumni, all of whom attended the event.
The ceremony was held to express gratitude and respect to the teachers and masters who have passed down the knowledge and wisdom of Thai Traditional Medicine, which serve as an important foundation for education and professional practice. It also aimed to preserve and continue the valued traditions of the Thai Traditional Medicine profession.
The event included Buddhist, Islamic, and Brahmanical religious ceremonies, offering blessings and good fortune to faculty members, staff, students, and participants. These activities reflected the university’s commitment to cultural diversity and mutual respect within a multicultural society. In addition, a traditional blessing and anointment ceremony was conducted to bestow auspiciousness upon all attendees, creating an atmosphere of reverence, faith, and pride in the profession of Thai Traditional Medicine.
