Dr. Sirinya Sitthirak, a lecturer in Medical Sciences, Doctor of Medicine Programme, participated in the “Train the Trainer for Genomics and AI Communities” programme, organised by Wellcome Connecting Science, held from 18 – 22 September 2026 in Jakarta, Indonesia, with support from a Bursary Award. The programme aims to enhance the capacity of academic and research personnel in Genomics and Artificial Intelligence (AI) by developing knowledge and skills in Genomics, Bioinformatics, and AI, as well as exploring approaches to applying these technologies in teaching and research.
The programme provided an opportunity to exchange ideas, experiences, and teaching approaches with experts and participants from various countries. It also offered valuable insights into effective approaches to communicating and transferring knowledge in Genomics and AI to enhance the capacity of learners and academic personnel. In addition, the programme facilitated the exchange of perspectives and practices on the application of these technologies in education and research, providing valuable knowledge and experience that can be further applied to enhance teaching and advance research in medical sciences in the future.
