The conference was held under the theme “One Health–Based University Health Promotion Strategies for Improving Healthy Lifestyle Behaviors on Campuses” and co-organized by the AUN-HPN Secretariat at Mahidol University and Universitas Airlangga. The event aimed to facilitate knowledge exchange and promote approaches to health promotion in higher education institutions.
The conference featured presentations of youth health promotion projects, along with panel discussions and keynote presentations on key topics, including One Health, the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in health promotion, mental health, physical activity, and vaping prevention. These activities aimed to empower young people to develop health-promoting innovations and approaches while providing opportunities for students from various universities to exchange knowledge, experiences, and perspectives on health at the international level. The MIRA project aims to foster meaningful social interactions, reduce reliance on screens, and support the development of medical students’ social skills and potential through the application of AI. This concept aligns with university health promotion approaches that address well-being across multiple dimensions.
The MIRA project was developed by a four-member team comprising:
- Lalitpat Thongwon School of Medicine, Walailak University
- Peeranat Keereerak School of Medicine, Walailak University
- Nattawut Kamchoo School of Engineering, Walailak University
- Apiwich Songsri Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University
Presenting this project at an international conference provided an important opportunity to showcase the students’ innovative approach to health promotion and gain new perspectives through knowledge exchange with international networks. The experience also supports the further development of knowledge and the creative integration of medical sciences and technology to advance health promotion.
